WE’LL NEVER KNOW

The warmth of your embrace
I’ll never know
The reassurance of your embrace
I’ll never know
The experience of your presence
I’ll never know
Your physical presence
I’ll never know
Your absence in my existence
Is all I know

What is it like
I’ll never know
The piggy back rides
I’ll never know
What it would be like
I’ll never know
Teaching me to ride
I’ll never know
Balance on a bike
I’ll never know

Would you be proud
I’ll never know
To see me stand my ground
I’ll never know
Tell everyone one around
I’ll never know
I wonder how you sound
I’ll never know
If only you had been around
Maybe I would know

Would life have been different
I’ll don’t know
Maybe a little less difficult
I’ll don’t know
Maybe a little bit of respect
I don’t know
Maybe a little less torment
I don’t know
Maybe l’d feel less neglect
I don’t know

What it’d be like we’ll never know

You missed the whole show

Nurturing me show
Guiding me show
Protecting me show
Didn’t you want to know?
Me the star of the show?

Why I don’t know
Only you would know
A father I’ll never know
A child you’ll never know
A life together we’ll never know.
