My eyes saw you, they liked you
Checked you out for a while, and decided they love you

Without thinking, they went straight to my heart
My feet left the ground, I fell for you, head first!

My eyes and my heart got into a passionate entanglement
By the time my head was joining the love party, sense had already left

Two minutes of heaven, I came down, crushing my heart in pieces
This time maturity and stability are a priority, I will be using all my senses

I will get my eyes, to check in with my brain first
Allow my ears to hear the nuances, in speech and in silence

Then we can bring in the heart
That way, there’s less chance to get hurt

We have been down that road, not fun, the fiery path of entanglement
But this time, we’d like love to be silent, it will last!
