IT’D STILL BE YOU

Veiled by shadows
Of awkwardness
Draped with insecurities
She saw you

Behind the shadows
Of cool friends
Hiding behind their confidence
She saw you

In the shadows
She unveiled the awkwardness
Underneath the insecurities
She say you

In the shadows
Among the cool friends
You were real, no pretence
She picked you

She wanted you
You were real then, still no changes now
You loved her then, your love still grows
A do over? She’d still choose you

She’d still see you
She’d still want you
She’d still love you
If she had to do it again, just know
It’d still be you
